Diocese of Green Bay—details offered for liturgical celebrations during flu season
1. If you are ill you should refrain from attending daily or Sunday Mass. Mass is broadcasted at 5:30 a.m. Sundays on WBAY TV (ABC or EWTN (cable).
2. Make a practice to wash hands often.
3. DO NOT shake hand during the sign of peace. Nod and say “The peace of Christ be with you” or “Peace be with you.”
4. Extraordinary ministers of Communion should always use an antiseptic hand sanitizer before distributing communion. Avoid touching one’s mouth or nose after using the sanitizer.
5. We will not be drinking from the cup during the flu season.
6. Get plenty of rest, eat a nutritious diet, and get regular exercise to minimize the risks of contracting the flu.
